UM students who are going on exchange can apply the below scholarship. The scholarship will be awarded on a competitive basis. The above mentioned scholarship only covers part of the exchange expenses, students should not consider it as a major financial source, please make sure to reserve sufficient budget to cover all the necessary expenses during exchange.

OES
Applicants of UM regular credit-bearing exchange programme, including University-level and Faculty-level programme for undergraduate and postgraduate, can apply OES. Self-initiated programme or programme offered by a third-party are not eligible for the Scholarship. An Awardee, who receives Scholarship in the first semester, is not eligible to apply Scholarship for his/her exchange in the second semester of the same academic year.


EligibilityType 1: Economically Disadvantaged Outgoing Exchange Scholarship
  • Macao permanent resident;
  • CGPA at 2.7 (14/20 for students from Faculty of Law) or above;
  • Within the average monthly household income as set in the table below

Average monthly household income (A) = (T – R) / 3
T = Total family income of the last 3 months;
R = Total rental of the last 3 months (where the maximum amount of rental is MOP 3,500 per month)


Type 2: Academic Excellence Outgoing Exchange Scholarship (UG)
  • UG students with good academic performance
  • CGPA at 3.0/4.0 (14/20 for students from Faculty of Law) or above


Type 3: Academic Excellence Outgoing Exchange Scholarship (PG)
  • PG students with good academic performance
  • CGPA at 3.0/4.0 (14/20 for students from Faculty of Law) or above, or equivalent

Supplementary DocumentsApplicants of OES Type 1 (Economically Disadvantaged Outgoing Exchange Scholarship) have to submit the following supplementary documents:

1. Copies of personal identification (Macao ID) of the applicant and his/her family members
