Activity Snapshot: Around 40 UM Staff and Students Joining a Visit to Studio City regarding Energy Saving Facilities and Related Measures
An activity organized by the CMDO - Energy Section regarding learning the energy saving facilities and related measures implemented at the Studio City has been successfully held on 27 March. More than 40 UM staff and students joined the visit.
During the 3-hour site tour, the UM delegation visited the chiller & pump system, the SC solar panel which is the largest solar plant in local city, power substation, food waste machine and the staff-oriented "Heart of House"…etc.. In addition, the delegation has been shared with some eco-friendly and recycle projects such as “Clean the World Initiatives” and “Bio-Pet Food Waste De-composting Scheme”. All visitors were impressed with the effort that the company contributed for environmental sustainability and efficient energy use. All people agreed that the visit was very useful and largely broaden their horizon about energy saving.
After the visit, the students who joined the tour have participated in an essay writing contest and the article composed by Mr. Jie Yang from FST has been selected as the best essay. A brief prize presentation ceremony has been held on 18 April 2019.
The Energy Section will be launching a series of educational visits in the near future to various companies or corporates so that to enhance the sense of energy saving and environmental friendly amongst our staff and students.
