MCM College collaborated with Ms. Ishtar Chan, Event Director & Producer, HANDS KIOSK Planning Ltd., on giving a 6-week 12-hours Live Event Production Course to College members. Event production is often confused as being the same as event management or planning. However, there are major differences. Event producers work collaboratively with audiovisual crews, lighting crews, technology vendors and presenters to put together a memorable, tightly choreographed show for the audience.
Through this course, students work closely with Ms. Ishtar Chan on event planning, promotion, production and on-show execution. Ms. Elsa Lei, Lighting Designer & Engineer and Mr. Liang Fu, Audio Engineer, from AV Promotions Ltd., also introduced students the lightning and audio effects and technique. Students also presented their event proposal ideas on producing a Talent Show and received feedbacks from Mr. Leo Leung, General Manager (South China), Guangzhou SYMA Exhibition Service Co., Ltd. and Ms. Noey Zeng, Project Director of AV Promotions Ltd. Among all groups, the group of Fiona Li and Cherry Au was awarded the best team award while Bryan Liu received the Best Individual Award. |
