University of Macau Economics Conference 2021: Contemporary Economic Issues in China: Regional Development and Environment
Regional development and environmental protection for sustainable growth are important issues facing China’s further economic advance. The three papers on productivity growth and consumption driven by digital finance attempt to examine the regional development of the newly promoted Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area in the southern China. The other paper focuses on the pathways for carbon neutralization of the Chinese industry. Economic perspectives and policy implications of each issue will be discussed.
