Dear colleagues,
ICTO is going to upgrade the Staff Email System. The system will be upgraded from Microsoft Exchange 2013 Enterprise to Microsoft Exchange 2019 Enterprise to improve the security and availability. In addition, the user interface (UI) of Webmail service will also be improved for better user experience.
In order to let our users have better email service experience and the system can be upgraded smoothly, ICTO will carry out a series of system maintenance and installation of new servers for this upgrade. Receiving email, sending email and accessing mailboxes will not be affected during this period. After completion of the system preparation work, we will migrate the users' mailboxes to the new version of the servers by department. You may need to restart the Outlook client to access the migrated mailbox. ICTO will notify each department individually for this arrangement in advance.
If you encounter any email problem during the upgrade process, please feel free to contact our HelpDesk during office hours. If you cannot connect to the server by Outlook client and have to use Staff Email System immediately, please kindly use the Webmail service.
