“Social Worker Listens to Your Heart” Service Experience Booth
College students face many challenges during different stages of their lives. Once they encounter adversity or setbacks, they could develop negative emotions. Sometimes, they need a companion to navigate the twists and turns and guide them along their paths. To reach out to students in need of emotional support, MCM College’s social worker, Yan Leong set up a service experience booth in the lobby of the college on 24th and 28th November 2022. Through self-made fragrant sachets and essential oil experience activities, she helped students explore their recent physical and mental state, allowing them to relax for a while. At the same time, she introduced the college’s counselling services and its new venue that is open to students. The activities were thoroughly enjoyed by more than 20 students.
