香港科技大學自2014年起主辦的黑客松程式比賽(hackUST) 是其中一個對推動校內學生創新創業發展中比較有影響力的比賽，每年的比賽都吸引超過四、五百位來自不同國家及大學的同學來到港科大校園一起切磋創意及程式應用的技術。活動亦已超越單一比賽性質，一方面成為未來創業團隊的孵化平台，另一方面亦已成為大公司尋找有創業心態及潛力的人才庫。今年的比賽亦已得到德勤中國(Deloitte China)、怡和飲食集團(Jardine Restaurant Group)、亞馬遜專業雲計算服務(AWS)、小米(Xiaomi) 等國際商業夥伴們的支持及合作。參加者除了得到互相學習、交流機會、現金獎之外，勝出的冠軍團隊成員更有到德勤數字解決方案(Deloitte Digital) 的帶薪的三個月暑期實習機會(實習地方可以在其廣州、深圳、香港或其他城市進行)。所有參加的項目還有可能被商業夥伴及投資人看中作進一步發展。是次比賽將於綫上舉行。

The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology has hosted the HackUST competition since 2014 and the competition is one of the most influential competitions in push forward the development of innovation and entrepreneurship among the students. Each year, the competition attracts more than 400 to 500 participants from different countries and universities to learn the creativity and application technology. The event has surpassed the nature of a competition, it has become an incubation platform for future entrepreneurial teams, and talent pools for large companies to find talents with entrepreneurial mentality and potential. This year's competition has also received the support and cooperation of international business partners such as Deloitte China, Jardine Restaurant Group, Amazon Professional Cloud Computing Service (AWS), Xiaomi and so on. In addition to learning from each other, exchange opportunities, and cash prizes, the winning champion team members also have a paid three-month summer internship opportunity at Deloitte Digital (the internship can be in Guangzhou and Shenzhen). , Hong Kong or other cities). All participating projects may be favored by business partners and investors for further development. Due to the pandemic situation, the hackUST 2021 will hold Online instead of face-to-face event on HKUST campus.

Eligibility of Joining hackUST2021:
1)Part-time or full-time student studying in a higher education institution (university/ college) located in any city or region of the world, individual and team enrolments are accepted. Team enrolment is up to 5 members per team
2)Once enrolment is confirmed, applicants will have access to the hackUST Matching Platform, which allows individual applicants to form teams or join existing teams after confirmation of enrollment. Likewise, existing teams may search for additional members from this Platform as well.
