Dear Colleagues,
With the unremitting efforts and sacrifice of all UM staff in the fight against the epidemic, the University has been able to respond promptly and actively participated in the government’s anti COVID-19 tasks since the epidemic outbreak in Macao on 18 June 2022.
Macao has now entered the normalization phase of epidemic prevention, and all UM members have contributed to making it possible. The University would like to express its deep gratitude to all UM staff for their hard work and selfless dedication, especially those who provided frontline support at the nucleic acid testing stations to ensure their uninterrupted operation, and those who supported tasks such as the Novel Coronavirus Response and Coordination Centre’s 24-hour enquiries and assistance platform, patrols and promotional campaigns for civil protection purposes, psychological counseling center and hotlines, outbreak investigation and data analysis, and the communication and coordination of staffing arrangements for epidemic prevention support.
The University also received a thank you letter from the Office of the Secretary for Security, praising the University of Macau for cooperating with members of the Civil Protection Framework and actively mobilizing personnel to participate in the epidemic prevention work. The letter conveys the Office’s gratitude to UM staff for their service and hard work. It is hereby enclosed with this bulletin for your reference.
Sincerely,
