Dear Colleagues,

Law No. 18/2020 "Professional Qualification and Registration of Health Practitioners" (attachment I) will come into effective on 1 October 2021, which is applicable to all the health practitioners in public and private sectors regarding their professional qualification and registration in Macao SAR. Health practitioners are required to obtain local accreditation and license in order to execute relevant professional work in Macao SAR. According to the Item 1) of Article 58 of the mentioned law, local health practitioners (including those with clinical teaching/research duties) in the public entities before 1 October 2021 can be exempted from examination and internship, the Medical Professional Committee and Health Bureau will grant the accreditation and license accordingly in this transition.

Hence, the Health Bureau is now calling for the information of relevant personnel from the public sectors and HRS will assist in collecting the required documents from UM staff members. In order to ensure a smooth transition, relevant personnel shall send the following documents to Mr. Jason Lam and Ms. Renee Chan (JasonLam@um.edu.mo; ReneeChan@um.edu.mo) of HRS via email on or before 12:00 noon, 16 September 2021 (Thursday) for consolidation and submission to the Health Bureau.
  1. Completed personal data sheet (attachment 2)
  2. Authorization for persona data transfer (attachment 3)
  3. Copy of ID document
  4. Copy of academic certificate(s)
