UM String Orchestra is now recruiting new members!
Dear students,
The University of Macau String Orchestra (UMSO) is now recruiting new members. The purpose of University of Macau String Orchestra (UMSO) is to improve members' technique and performing level. We pick the stringed instrument enthusiasts in the university. If that sounds like you, and you like to think for yourself, UMSO could be the great choice for you.
Our target is all UM students, who can play the violin, the viola, the cello or the double bass. Exchange students are also welcome to join our big family.
Applying to UMSO
1. Submit your application before 27 January 2022
2. Audition: applicants will receive the audition details via e-mail and message.
3. Decisions: applicants who have been interviewed will be told whether or not their application has been successful within a week by e-mail and message.
Audition Content:
1. One three-octave scale by candidate’s choice (two-octave scale is also acceptable, one-octave scale is not accepted)
2. One piece of music by candidate’s choice
3. Sight-reading
