Dear Postgraduate Students,

The application of the Postgraduate House (PGH) Summer Stay 2022 is now opened for current postgraduate students. Details of the PGH Summer Stay 2022 are as follows:
Before submitting your application, please read the below information carefully to ensure you understand thoroughly the arrangement of the application.

During the summer stay period (1 June 2022 to 24 July 2022), students can only EITHER apply for Summer Stay OR Summer Luggage Storage Service.
Applications for both are NOT acceptable.

A. Eligible applicants: ALL active PG students who need an accommodation of postgraduate house for whole summer stay period, but the following courses are excluded:
              • Executive Master of Business Administration (EMBA)
              • Doctor of Business Administration (DBA)
              • Doctor of Education (EdD/DED)
              • Doctor of Public Administration (DPA)
              • Postgraduate Certificate / Diploma Programmes

# Only summer stay residents who have been successfully renewed for 1st semester are eligible to request for extension of summer stay period. Eligible students will receive application information via email in due course.

C. Important Points to Note:
    I. Late applications will NOT be accepted.
    II. Summer stay is for students who need to stay on campus for their academic and research work during the whole summer. Besides the online e-form for Summer Stay Application, students are required to fill and submit Summer Stay Justification Form which assessed by supervisor with approval of Academic Units. The original copy of the Justification Form should be submitted to Student Housing Office located at S3-G002 /sent to sao.pgh@um.edu.mo within the application period. Incomplete forms or late submissions will not be considered. Students who are subsidized or exempted from summer stay fee do not need to submit this document.

    II. Due to insufficient bedspace in PGH, according to the “PGH Resident Rules” and the “Guidelines for Assessing the Applications for UM PGH Accommodation”, in academic year 2022/2023, the University can only ensure accommodation for year-one postgraduate students who are in their first year of study and do not have a residence in Macao. Remaining bed spaces are not enough for all postgraduate students. Besides, PGH accommodation are not provided to students at all levels of the following courses: EMBA, DBA, EdD, DPA and Postgraduate Certificate / Diploma Programmes. Students who were not offered a bedspace are required to arrange off-campus accommodation by themselves. For off-campus accommodation information, please refer to Student Resources Section (Student Housing) website (https://srs.sao.um.edu.mo/accommodation-news-and-updates/ ).

    IV. The Student Resources Section (SRS) will allocate bed spaces according to the approval criteria stipulated in the “Guidelines for Assessing the Applications for UM PGH Accommodation” .

        2. PGH points will be reverted to zero on 30 March 2022 (00:00).
        3. Students who have zero or negative PGH points are not included in the above table. The above data, which is as of 17 March 2022, is not final. PGH points gained between 18 March 2022 and 29 March 2022 (cut-off date) will still be counted towards the present application.
        4. The above table includes all students who have PGH points. Some of them may not submit an application. The final PGH point rankings will include only the students who submit an application. For details of what role PGH points play in the application, please refer to the “Guidelines for Assessing the Applications for UM PGH Accommodation”.

    V. Arrangement of suite allocation:
        a) For current PGH students who are staying in the suite, the residence period will end on 31 May 2022. All suites (including medical reasons) will be allocated all over again. If student would like to continue to stay in the same room type onward, they have to apply for suite again in this application. Rooms are not guaranteed and are subject to the final approval.

        b) Married couples are eligible for suites only if both individuals are registered UM postgraduate students.

        c) In case of the situation as below, the other party of the marriage who get approval for the application for PGH accommodation will be allocated to the bedspace in PGH buildings according to the gender.
          - Either of the parties to the marriage who have reached the maximum study period / received an eviction order / whose status have been changed to non-active, such as “graduated”, “withdrawal”, “deferred” and “inactive”, etc,
          - Either of the parties to the marriage do not submit the application for PGH accommodation;
          - Either of the parties to the marriage do not get approval for the application for PGH accommodation;
          - Either of the parties to the marriage complete the move-out procedure.

        d) SRS will assign the suite(s) randomly to successful applicants and no further adjustment would be allowed for room allocation.

    VI. Arrangement of single room allocation:
        a) For current PGH students who are staying in the single room, the residence period will end on 31 May 2022. All single rooms (including medical reasons) will be allocated all over again. If student would like to continue to stay in the same room type onward, they have to apply for single room again in this application. Rooms are not guaranteed and are subject to the final approval.

        b) Priority of single room will be given to existing PhD students first. Remaining single rooms will be reserved for PhD freshmen who will be admitted in 1st semester of AY2022/2023.

        c) If there are single room(s) released before the residence period, the single room(s) will be allocated to applicants who have been approved for accommodation for 1st semester of AY2022/2023 at that moment. The allocation order is existing PhD students, PhD freshmen, other applicants. Under the same category, applicants with higher PGH points will be given the priority. When the number of available rooms is insufficient and equal points occur, it will be decided by a draw.

        d) If PhD students do not apply for a single room in this application, their request made at other times for changing to a single room during AY2022/2023 will not be considered.

        e) Location arrangement for PhD applicants successfully approved for a single room: Applicants with highest PGH points will be given the priority to be allocated to the available single rooms in the location (S-zone or W-zone) based on the preference provided on the application form. When the number of available single rooms in the same location is insufficient and equal points occur, it will be decided by a draw. For applicants who are not successfully allocated to their preferred location, the Student Resources Section will assist to adjust their location according to the actual room conditions.

        f) SRS will assign the single room(s) randomly to successful applicants in the same living location and no further adjustment would be allowed for room allocation.

        g) Since dormitory at W32 is equipped with a central cooking area, SRS strongly urges PhD single room applicants who have cooking needs should choose W32 as your preferred location.
    VII. Arrangement of shared room allocation:
        a) Applicants who have already matched with a student who is currently living alone in a shared room or who will stay with the same roommate will be arranged first, both successful applicants will stay together in a shared room for the summer stay, subject to the availability. In addition, both students are required to submit their own applications and be consistent with the roommate's information. In case of any inconsistent information, both students cannot stay together and will be allocated randomly by SRS.

        b) For other applicants who cannot find a roommate to stay with during the summer stay period, the Student Resources Section (SRS) will assign a roommate on behalf or relocate applicants to other shared rooms.

        c) No further adjustment would be allowed for room allocation.


        d) PhD students who have selected the "Shared Room" option as their room type for 1st semester of AY2022/2023, their request made at other times for changing to a single room during AY2022/2023 will not be accepted.

    VIII. For current PGH students who did not apply or were not approved for a bed-spaces for the summer stay, the last move-out date for the 2nd semester of academic year 2021/2022 is 31 May 2022 before 14:00.

    IX. Move-out procedure: Students must reserve the move-out procedure at the PGH Management Company (S3-G003) at least 72 hours (3 days) before the move-out date, if not, a handling fee of MOP500 will be charged. Receipt will be issued by the Management Company after the appointment is made (please keep it for future reference).

    For example, if a student would like to move out on 31 May (11:00am), he/she shall make the reservation via the Management Company on/before 28 May (11:00am).
        -PGH residents must return their room keys or cards and any other UM properties and pay all the related fees and fines upon move-out.

        -Students are required to remove their personal belongings and garbage in the room before move-out. Otherwise, their belongings in the room will be disposed and the Garbage Removal Fee (MOP370 per person) will be levied.

    X. Overstay penalty: If students do not move out from PGH by the date stated in Point C-VII, besides residence fee, overstay penalty (MOP440/suite/per night, MOP220/single room/per night and MOP155/student in a shared room/per night) will be imposed until the completion of accommodation application or move-out procedure. Moreover, their room cards will be de-activated and an eviction order will also be issued to overstayed students.

    For those residents who have moved out of PGH WITHOUT performing the move-out procedure, UM shall not only take relevant disciplinary actions, handling fees will also be levied. UM will charge the residence fee and overstay penalty until the move-out procedure is completed.

    XI. According to Article 39 of the Personnel Statue of UM and Article 9 of Chapter 7 of Regulations of the Personnel Affairs of the UM about the attribution of housing subsidy, UM staff is not eligible to receive the housing subsidy when he/she successfully applies for the housing provided by UM or any public entities, including the Student Dormitory (i.e. Postgraduate House).

    XII. Room assignment is arranged by SRS. For any room with vacant beds, SRS reserves all rights to assign other students to them at any moment.

    XIV. SRS has the rights to make the final decision.

D. Application Procedure:
    I. Log in at: https://go.um.edu.mo/y8cw79dk; input your student ID no. and password.
    (To ensure that you can read the full terms and conditions of application, it is recommended to use a computer to browse)
    II. Fill in the on-line application form;
    III. Ensure the application information is filled-in correctly before submission as changes are not permitted once the submission is made;
    IV. Upon completion, click "YES" and you will see this "GREEN TICK" for a successful submission;
    V. Students will receive a confirmation email in their UM student email accounts after the application form is successfully submitted.
    VI. If NO confirmation is received, which means the delivery of application is unsuccessful, students should contact SRS to review the application and re-submit it again. Otherwise, the accommodation request will not be considered after the application period.
    VII. Submit the original copy of Summer Stay Justification Form which assessed by supervisor with approval of Academic Units to Student Housing Office located at S3-G002 / sent to sao.pgh@um.edu.mo within the application period.
    VIII. Notes for Application Procedure:
        a) Each applicant can only fill in one (1) application form. If more than one (1) applications were received, only the earliest submission will be taken into account.
        b) Students should read and complete the form carefully.
        c) Please ensure the application information is filled-in correctly before submission, as changes are not permitted after submission.
        d) The alert will pop-up at the top-left corner if there is any missing field.
        e) This form serves as application only; the final arrangement is subjected to availability and the draw result.
        f) SRS has the rights to make the final decision.

    Note for PGH Summer Stay Fee:
    a) Students whose application of PGH Summer Stay is accepted will be required to pay their summer stay fee within the payment period stated in the schedule under Point B.
    b) If NO summer stay fee is received by the payment deadline, the application will be cancelled automatically and NO bedspace will be reserved.
    c) Students, who have paid the PGH summer stay fee and decided NOT to move-in PGH during summer, are required to send a written request to Student Resources Section (SRS) for approval before the summer stay period. For the amount of refundable residence fee, please refer to "PGH Refund Terms and Conditions".
    d) For students who have paid the PGH summer stay fee and decided to move-out from PGH in June, PGH residence fee will be refunded in proportion to students ONLY with reasons of graduation, exchange(with supporting documents), medical issues (with medical certificates from hospitals in Macao). For the amount of refundable residence fee, please refer to "PGH Refund Terms and Conditions". No refund will be given to the students who moved-out without aforesaid reasons or who moved-out in July.

C.重要事項:
    I. 任何過期申請將不獲受理。
    II. 暑期住宿僅限於因學術及研究原因或不可抗力原因需留在校園的研究生申請除了線上提交暑期住宿的電子申請表格外,學生需同時填寫並提交此暑期住宿證明書,此證明書需由導師評估且獲學院同意,表格需在申請期內遞交至學生住宿辦公室(S3-G002)或電郵至sao.pgh@um.edu.mo。 逾期遞交/欠缺電子申請表或獲學院同意之證明書,學生的暑期住宿申請將不會受理。獲暑期住宿費資助或豁免之同學,則無須提交此文件。

    III. 由於研究生宿舍宿位有限,根據《研究生宿舍住客規條》及《澳門大學研究生宿舍住宿申請審批指引》,2022/2023學年,本校只確保第一年修讀一年級且在澳門地區沒有住所的研究生之住宿,餘下的宿位不足以分配予全部研究生。另外,所有年級的工商管理博士、高級管理人員工商管理碩士、教育博士、公共行政博士學位課程及學士後證書/文憑課程的學生不獲安排宿位。不獲安排宿位的學生需自行安排校外住宿。有關校外住宿的基本資訊,請參閱學生資源處(學生住宿)網頁(https://srs.sao.um.edu.mo/accommodation-news-and-updates/ )。

    IV. 套房分配安排:
        a) 目前套房宿生住宿期限到2022年5月31日為止。所有套房將重新分配。學生如需繼續留於同一房型,需於本次申請中再次選擇該房型,房間分配安排按當時公佈為準。 房型不保證能成功分配,以最終批准為準。

        b) 套房只限夫婦雙方都是澳大註冊研究生申請。

        c) 如出現以下情況,夫婦中獲批准研究生宿舍住宿的另一方將按其性別分配至研究生宿舍內的其他房型。
          - 婚姻的任何一方修讀年期屆滿、被勒令遷離宿舍或其學生狀態轉為非在學,如“畢業”、“退學”、“休學”、“不在學”等,
          - 婚姻的任何一方未提交研究生宿舍住宿申請;
          - 婚姻的任何一方研究生宿舍住宿申請未獲得批准;
          - 婚姻的任何一方完成研究生宿舍遷離手續。

        d) 套房將由學生資源處隨機分配,獲分配套房的申請人不允許更改房間。

    V. 單人間分配安排:
        a) 目前單人間宿生(包括健康等個人原因)住宿期限到2022年5月31日為止。所有單人間(包括健康等個人原因)將重新分配。學生如需繼續留於同一房型,需於本次申請中再次選擇該房型,房間分配安排按當時公佈為準。 房型不保證能成功分配,以最終批准為準。

        b) 單人間分配將以博士舊生優先,餘下單人間將預留給2022/2023學年第一學期入學的博士新生申請。

        c) 倘若住宿期開始前有單人間釋出,將分配予當時已獲批准2022/2023學年第一學期住宿的申請人,分配次序為博士舊生、博士新生、碩士生(含新生)。同一類別的學生以研究生宿舍積分高低次序分配,當出現同分但空餘房間數量不足時,將以抽籤方式作決定。

        d) 博士生如本次未申請單人間,於2022/2023學年住宿期間提出之單人間轉房申請將不獲受理。

        e) 獲分配單人間博士生居住區域安排:宿舍積分較高者將優先獲按其意向的居住區域 (南區或西區)分配空餘單人間,當出現同分但該區域空餘單人間數量不足時,將以抽籤方式作決定。未能成功分配至意向區域的申請人,將按照實際房間情況由學生資源處調整居住區域。

        f) 相同居住區域的單人間將由學生資源處隨機分配,獲分配單人間的申請人不允許更改房間。

        g) 由於西三十二(W32)宿舍設有中央煮食區,學生資源處強烈呼籲有煮食需求的博士單人間申請人,應選擇申請W32區域。

    VI. 雙人間分配安排:
        a) 先安排已經自行與目前單獨住在雙人間的宿生匹配 或 維持原室友的申請人。視房間情況而定,將安排雙方獲批的申請人於暑期住宿期間入住至同一雙人間。兩名學生必須分別提交個人申請並與室友的信息保持一致。如果發現任何不一致的信息,則兩個學生不能安排至同一房間,並由學生資源處隨機分配。

        b) 其他未能於暑期住宿期間匹配室友的申請人,學生資源處將為其重新分配至另一雙人間或安排新室友,學生有可能獲分配一個與其作息時間不一致的室友。

        c) 獲分配雙人間的申請人不允許更改房間。

        d) 博士申請人若在申請中選擇「雙人間」作為2022/2023學年第一學期的房型,此類博士住宿生於2022/2023學年住宿期間再次提出之單人間轉房申請將不獲受理。
    VII. 若宿生沒有提交暑期住宿申請或申請不被受理,其最後的遷離宿舍日期為2022 年 5 月 31 日14:00之前。

    VIII. 遷離宿舍手續:宿生在正式遷離研究生宿舍前,須至少提前三天於管理公司預約遷離手續及填寫研究生宿舍遷離宿舍表,成功預約後將收到管理公司發出之收據 (請保存以作記錄)。

    例如:同學計劃在5月31日(上午11:00)遷離宿舍,他必須在5月28日(上午11:00)或之前到管理公司預約退宿,否則,他將須繳付行政費澳門元500。
        -宿生必須在遷離研究生宿舍時,必須歸還房間鑰匙或門卡以及任何其他澳門大學 財產,並支付所有相關費用和罰款。

        -學生應於退宿日前清除房間內所有個人物品及垃圾,否則房間裡的物品將被丟棄,且須繳付垃圾處理費(澳門元370/每人)。

    IX. 逾期遷出費用:如果宿生未能在C-VII點規定的日期或之前離開研究生宿舍,除住宿費用外,將須繳付逾期遷出費直至相應手續辦妥為止(澳門元440 /套房/每晚,澳門元220 /單人間/每晚和澳門元155 /雙人間/每晚/每人)。此外,宿生持有的房卡將被停用,且宿生將被勒令立即遷離宿舍。


    對於未完成退宿手續便擅自離開宿舍的宿生,澳門大學將採取相關的紀律處分,並向相關學生徵收手續費。學生將須繳付住宿費及逾期遷出費直至相應手續辦妥為止。

    X. 按照《澳門大學人員通則》第三十九條及《澳門大學人事管理規章》第七章第九條,澳門大學工作人員若於享有由澳大或任何公共實體所提供的房屋(包括學生宿舍,如研究生宿舍則無權享有房屋津貼。

    XI. 房間分配由學生資源處安排。對於任何空置床位,學生資源處保留任何時候分配床位之最終決定權。

    XIII. 學生資源處保留最終決定權。

    III. 請同學確認其填寫的資料是正確無誤 , 所有資料提交後不得修改;
    IV.填妥表挌後,點擊“YES”提交並出現以下 “綠色剔號”成功提交頁面;

    V.成功提交住宿申請後,同學 (澳大學生電郵) 將會收到一封確認電郵。 否則,請查看您的申請並重新提交;
    VI.未有收到確認電郵,則表示申請未能成功提交,學生應聯繫學生資源處審查申請並再次提交。 否則,申請期過後將不受理申請;
    VII. 將已獲導師評估且獲學院同意的暑期住宿證明書在申請期內遞交至學生住宿辦公室(S3-G002)或電郵至sao.pgh@um.edu.mo。
    VIII. 申請手續須知:
        a) 每個名申請人只能填寫一份申請表。 如果收到超過一份申請,則以第一份申請為準。
        b) 請仔細閱讀並填妥表格。
        c) 遞交表格前請確保所填寫之資訊正確無誤,已遞交之表格不允許進行任何更改。
        d) 如有漏填之項目,系統將於電子表格左上方顯示提示訊息。
        e) 此表格僅作申請用途,申請結果視乎房間空缺情況而定及抽籤結果 (當申請人數超出床位數量) 而定
        f) 學生資源處保留最終決定權。

    暑假住宿費用須知:
      a) 若申請人的暑期住宿申請獲臨時受理,學生必須在B點時間表中列明的繳費期內繳納住宿費用。
      b) 校方如果在繳費期限前未收到任何住宿費用,申請將被自動取消,且將不保留床位。
      c) 學生若已繳納住宿費但決定暑期住宿期間不入住或不續住,學生應在暑期住宿期開始之前通過書面郵件通知學生資源處取消研究生宿舍的住宿。有關退款事宜,請參閱 《宿費退款條款》。
      d) 若學生已繳納住宿費後決定六月內遷離宿舍,住宿費用僅退還予因下列原因遷離宿舍的同學:畢業﹑外出交流(需附相關證明文件)﹑醫療原因(需附上由澳門醫院發出的健康狀況證明書)。因其它原因遷離宿舍或於七月遷離宿舍的學生,住宿費將不獲退還。
