All UM accounting programmes receive double ACCA accreditation with maximum exemptions
Following the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants’ (ACCA) recent accreditation of the Master of Science in Accounting programme with maximum exemptions of professional papers, the University of Macau’s (UM) Bachelor of Science in Accounting programme has also received re-accreditation from the ACCA. Both programmes have also been accredited by several international professional accounting bodies. The re-accreditation reinforces international recognition of the taught accounting programmes at all levels offered by the Department of Accounting and Information Management, Faculty of Business Administration (FBA), UM. These prestigious external accreditations have placed the FBA’s accounting programmes among the top in the market and have demonstrated FBA’s status as a flagship business faculty in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area.
The FBA and its professional accreditation team have made a tremendous effort to achieve this result, which will enhance the international reputation of the faculty.
The FBA is a comprehensive international business school and is the first institution in Macao to have received accreditation from the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business and the Association of MBAs. It is also an official member of the European Foundation of Management Development and the Global Business School Network.
