Dear colleagues and students,
The peak transmission season of Influenza in Macao is January to March each year. Health Bureau of Government of Macao S.A.R. received a number of group infection cases recently. To expand the community's immune barrier and to protect residents' health to a greater extent, Health Bureau is offering free vaccination of Influenza to all Macao residents and students (including non-local students). Local residents may visit the designated webpage of Health Bureau (https://www.ssm.gov.mo/infrs) for appointment. Non-local students may go to Health Centers for appointment with student I.D. and Health Bureau user card (commonly known as gold card, if any).
Office of Health, Safety and Environmental Affairs reminds all of you to have the vaccination of Influenza 2019-2020 if you haven't got it yet. Lastly, please be reminded to implement the following preventive measures:
1) Have enough sleep, have a balanced diet and exercise;
2) Pay attention to personal hygiene, wash hands frequently;
3) Cover the mouth and nose with tissue paper when sneezing and coughing. Wrap the sputum and secretions with tissue paper and throw it in a rubbish bin with lid. Wash hands immediately. Use the elbow instead of hands to cover the mouth and nose if you don't have tissue paper.
4) Keep good ventilation and pay attention to environmental hygiene;
5) Avoid going to crowded areas;
6) Wear mask if you develop symptoms of Influenza, need to take care of patients, and visit medical institutions;
7) Seek medical assistance and rest a home if you are sick.
