Residential Colleges (RC) invite applications for the position of Resident Tutors (RT). Successful candidates are expected to assume their duties from early August of 2020.
Eligibility
All UM full-time postgraduate students are eligible to apply. Excellent English competency, leadership experience, passionate and cheerful personality, as well as specialty in performing arts, graphic design, photography, video editing, etc. will all be advantages.
Job description
RT are expected to work at least 10 hours per week in RC. All appointed RT must undergo training that will hold for three to four days in early August. The training will familiarize the RT and student leaders with their duties and prepare them for a good beginning of the new semester. RT play key roles in the UM Residential College System. The duties include:
- to assist in the implementation of the College vision and mission;
- to provide good care to undergraduate students on his/her floor;
- to assist in the delivery of college experiential learning and academic programs;
- to organize floor activities and meetings;
- to attend college events and activities;
- to get to know college members;
- other duties assigned by College Master and academic staff.

Points to note:
- Due to pneumonia prevention and control, interviews will be arranged for shortlisted candidates in late March or in April via internet or by other means as requested by respective RC.
- Successful candidates will have to seek the approval of their major supervisor prior taking up the position.
