Don't Relax on the Anti-pandemic Measures, Declare Health Condition and Travelling History Honestly

Dear colleagues and students,

As there are imported cases of novel coronavirus infection in Macao, the Macao government of S.A.R. urges all Macao residents not to relax but to fight against the pandemic. The most updated quarantine measures include:
  • Starting from 18-03-2020 00:00, all non-residents, except those from Mainland China, Hong Kong, Taiwan and holders of non-resident employee identification card, are prohibited to enter Macao.
  • All persons who have visited all countries or regions except Mainland China, Hong Kong, Macao or Taiwan in the 14 days prior to their entry, through all ports in Macao (including land, sea or air), have to be imposed medical observation for 14 days when entering Macao.
  • Health Bureau will decide whether the person will be quarantined in designated hotel, Public Health Clinical Center or at home by evaluating the travelling history in the 14 days prior to entry and the risk of infection.
  • All persons who enter Macao please fill in the health declaration form honestly, including health condition and travelling history. Untrue report or deceived report will constitute a criminal offense, with maximum punishment of 6 months' imprisonment or 60-day-fine.

Lastly, please be reminded that we should declare health condition and travelling history honestly when arriving UM, as well as wear masks in office and in campus area. Wash hands frequently. These are measures to protect both yourself and the others.
