Dear colleagues and students,
The November issue (118th issue) of My UMis now available!
Mathematics is the foundation of all scientific studies. From ancient Greece to the present day, people have been using this language of science to explore the laws of nature. In this issue of MyUM, several faculty members and students share with us how they use mathematical knowledge to solve problems in their fields to benefit society (Article). In People’s Stories, Kevin Maher, senior instructor in the English Language Centre, discusses how he tells the stories of Macao to the world through his short videos taken around the city (Article). Many degree programmes at UM require students to join internships to give them a chance to put their knowledge into practice. In the UM Reporter Column, we have interviewed three UM members about how their internship experiences can prepare them for their future careers (Article).
