| Music appreciation is the joy of listening and discovering. The concept is often taught in a music course for music majors. In MCM College, music appreciation became a way of self-exploration and mutual learning. Students prepared a little guide or recipe for others with no or little music background to discover the gems in different pieces, sharing about the origin and understanding of a piece and how to appreciate the diverse musical forms and genres.
This time, three students, Chan Chen, Nemo Li and Luna Cao did a sharing on the music by Tchaikovsky, Chopin and Debussy, telling audience concise yet precise insights of the chosen music compositions. The three students in particular, expressed that they have learned a lot through the preparation process, making alterations to their interpretation of the music of the said composers and enhancing their musicality. |
