Since the onset of COVID-19 outbreak on 18th June, the citizens of Macau experienced unprecedented suffering, from people’s livelihood to the economic environment, all of which have been hit hard by the COVID-19. To encourage Macau people to unite, support each other, and actively fight the pandemic, our team created the anti-pandemic song "Guarding This Home Together" (lyrics are included). We feel grateful to witness that UM students have been actively serving various volunteering positions during the strenuous anti-pandemic work, bringing forth positive energy and hope to the Macau society. We sincerely hope that this song can empathize with Macau residents and bring some warmth to the society.

The members who composed and performed "Guarding This Family Together" include 曾賢舜 (composer, arranger and post-production), Winky (lyrics), 關兆國 (vocals), 伍海文(vocals), Cynthia (flute), Evy (cello) and Emma and Hailey (video editing).

曾賢舜 and Cynthia were members of the University of Macau's Cultural and Arts University Teams during their college years (2013-2017). Their musical collaborations were creative and fruitful since they learnt and progressed as a group.

"Guarding This Family Together" is of non-profit public welfare nature and has not applied for any institutional funding. We give thanks to all institutions that provide photos or videos relevant to the joint anti-pandemic efforts, including the University of Macau, the Health Bureau Prevention and Control Center, and the Macau Women's Federation.
