Dear colleagues and students,

Pandemic situation of COVID-19 due to the Omicron variant strain is getting serious. Numerous cases were found in many countries. All of us should pay high attention to the pandemic development, keep wearing masks, and avoid unnecessary gathering including wedding banquets, festive celebrations, etc. Institutions should comply with the disease control measures advised by Health Bureau strictly, including temperature measurement, social distancing, avoidance of gathering. Avoid unnecessary travelling to medium to high risk areas. If you have to leave Macao, please implement all preventive measures and pay attention to the local pandemic situation.

Effective from 21st February 2022, staff members who have not completed full vaccination against COVID-19 (that is, 2 doses) for 14 days should undergo nucleic acid test at least once every 7 days. (For details please refer to the attachment.)

Those who have completed 2 doses and are 18 years old or over may have the 3rd dose of booster. In general, the 2nd and 3rd doses should be vaccinated at least 6 months apart. For those who have urgent needs may be vaccinated at least 3 months (at least 12 weeks) apart.

Starting from 15th November, 2021, staff members who receive the 3rd dose of COVID-19 vaccine may apply for 1-day of justifiable absence on the day of vaccination or on the following day.
