Dear colleagues and students,
Lunar New Year is approaching. As the pandemic situation of COVID-19 is unstable, in order to lower the risk of community outbreaks in Macao, Education and Youth Development Bureau urges staff and students to stay in Macao during the Lunar New Year and to avoid unnecessary gatherings. Those who intend to leave Macao should pay attention to the disease development and preventive measures in Macao and in the local area, as well as the possible quarantine arrangement.
Public administration workers at all levels of the Macao government should comply with the control and preventive measures. According to the advice from Public Administration and Civil Service Bureau, during the Lunar New Year and the peak travelling period of 22nd January to 15th February 2022, public administration workers are highly encouraged to stay in Macao. They should avoid travelling to medium to high risk areas in Guangdong province, areas outside Guangdong province and foreign countries. If one has to travel to the above mentioned areas/ countries due to personal reason, and eventually has to be absent from work for medical observation in Macao or outside Macao, it cannot be considered as justified absence unless there are non-attributable reasons and is accepted by the unit's management.
If one has to travel due to official reasons or urgent needs, please implement preventive measures strictly and pay attention to the disease development.

If the Health Code is turned yellow, the concerned staff should inform their supervisors/ units immediately and make necessary work arrangement, with reference to the guidelines below. They are not suitable to work at front-line, and should avoid contacting with the public as well as going to crowded places.
