2019-2020 UM Sports Awards Presentation Ceremony was held successfully
The “2019-2020 UM Sports Awards Presentation Ceremony” was successfully held on 18 Sep 2020 at E31-Theater. Due to the impacts of the epidemic situation, the ceremony has postponed from May to Sep this year.
This awards ceremony has been held since 2002, with the aim to recognize the outstanding athletes and sports teams throughout the year. The selected outstanding athletes and sports teams would receive the sports scholarships. This year, the amount of sports scholarship was increased from MOP170,000 to MOP270,000. The additional MOP100,000 was donated by Bank of China Macau Branch (BOC Macau). For this, Office of Sports Affairs (OSA) has arranged the Plaque Presentation Ceremony to appreciate the donation from BOC Macau.
Prof. Billy So, Vice Rector (Student Affairs) expressed sincere thanks to the donors for their continuous support of UM's sports development. He also appreciated all sports team coaches and athletes for their efforts and contributions. UM Sports Teams won 13 golds, 4 silvers and 14 bronzes in the 2019-2020 academic year under the impacts of epidemic situation.
