End of support for basic authentication to UM@Connect
Basic Authentication in UM@Connect has been used for many years. It is easier for attackers to capture users' credentials with today’s network intrusion tools and methods, which in turn increases the risk of credential re-use against other services. According to Microsoft's security guidelines and recommendation, the Basic Authentication for UM@Connect will be disabled on 3 March 2021.
After Basic Authentication is disabled, email client (Outlook 2013 or later) and APPs (Outlook APP) which support Modern Authentication can still access UM@Connect. You may be prompted for user name and password to reconnect. If you encounter any access problem, please try to re-configure your UM@Connect email, or you can access via https://webmail.um.edu.mo.
