The Judiciary Police have been made aware that conmen are using fake social media accounts in the names of celebrities and offered personal get togethers with the celebrities in exchange for money on Facebook or Instagram.
A police circular has been published on our website to remind students of such scam. If you suspect your schoolmates have fallen prey to fraud, you should inform your teachers about it, or call our Anti-fraud hotline 8800 7777 or crime report 993.
