As you may know, Zoom and UMMoodle are the major software tool and platform to conduct eLearning. In order for you to have a quick start to eLearning, we would like to share with you some tips as below:
Zoom
- Registration. If this is your first time using Zoom for online classes at UM, please follow the steps in this link to complete your registration.
- Pre-testing your equipment. Please make sure that your hardware devices (e.g. speakers, microphones, etc.) can be used for Zoom online class. You may join a test Zoom meeting (here).
- Pre-testing network connection. Please make sure that you have reliable Internet connection. If possible, the wired connection is recommended as it is more stable.
UMMoodle
- Log in to UMMoodle with your UMPass account.
- To join a Zoom online class, you need to first enter the course through the course dashboard on UMMoodle.
- Scroll through the course sections to find the correct Zoom online class to join.
