Celebrating the 40th Anniversary of the University of Macau: "2020-2021 UM Sports Awards Presentation Ceremony" was held successfully
The “2020-2021 UM Sports Awards Presentation Ceremony” was successfully held on 18 May 2021 at E31-Theater.
This awards ceremony has been held since 2002, with the aim to recognize the outstanding athletes and sports teams throughout the year. The selected outstanding athletes and sports teams would receive the sports scholarships. This year, the amount of sports scholarship was increased from MOP270,000 to MOP290,000. The additional MOP20,000 was donated by Neoson Information Technology Co. Ltd. For this, Office of Sports Affairs (OSA) has arranged the Plaque Presentation Ceremony to appreciate the donation from Neoson Information Technology Co. Ltd. Besides, Bank of China (Macau Branch) also sponsored MOP80,000 on UM Sports Team track suits for Sports Team participating in different competitions and events.
Prof. Billy So, Vice Rector (Student Affairs) expressed sincere thanks to the donors for their continuous support of UM's sports development. He also appreciated all sports team coaches and athletes for their efforts and contributions. Until April, UM Sports Teams won 69 golds, 60 silvers and 54 bronzes in the 2020-2021 academic year. At the end of the ceremony, certificates were presented to students who had completed Train the Trainer Programme (T.T.T.).
