Dear colleagues and students,

Happy Lunar New Year of the Tiger!

The global pandemic situation of COVID-19 due to the Omicron variant strain is unstable. Outbreaks have been found in some areas in Mainland China as well as in Hong Kong. There is a certain level of transmission risk in Macao. All staff, students and persons staying in campus are reminded to strictly implement the anti-pandemic measures advised by Health Bureau earlier. Please refer to the attachment for details.

If you have recently visited areas outside Guangdong Province or Shenzhen of Guangdong Province, please take the initiative to have a nucleic acid test within 4 to 7 days after the last nucleic acid test (including the one taken at the port). Test with payment or free test are both acceptable. Appointment for free test can be made with the link https://app.ssm.gov.mo/mandatoryrnatestbook. The result will not be uploaded to Macao Health Code or cannot be used for entry or exit purpose.

Please always pay attention to your personal health status if you have left Macao for vacation or visiting families. Patients with the residence or travel history (mentioned in the link below) who develop fever, dry cough, fatigue, sore throat, decreased sense of smell or taste, diarrhea or other COVID-19 suspected symptoms, regardless of whether the symptoms can be explained by other causes or conditions, are subject to COVID-19 screening tests.
