In the view of the COVID-19 pandemic, Univeristy of Tübingen will offer IES Fall and Winter Schools in online format.

Online Fall School 2020, IES, University of Tübingen
In cooperation with Oregon State University (OSU)
"Divided in Diversity" - The European Union in Crisis?
The Online Fall School will deal with the historical, cultural and political framework of European Integration, and cover the current challenges Europe and the EU face today: Brexit, immigration, political fragmentation and radicalization, the EU's democratic deficit and foreign policy challenges. Furthermore, class sessions will introduce participants to the history and trajectory of human rights in Europe and the crucial question of collective (national) identity and how it is shaped by current developments in Europe, at its borders and beyond.

The academic program is conducted by Jan Battke (Tübingen University) and Dr. Allison Davis-White Eyes and Dr. Philipp Kneis (both Oregon State University).

Online Winter School 2020, IES, University of Tübingen
“The European Union in Crisis? Politics and Economics in Europe Today”
The Online Winter School will deal with the historical, political, and economic dynamics of European Integration, and cover the current challenges Europe and the EU face today: Brexit, political fragmentation and radicalization, economic turmoil and more.

The academic program is conducted by Jan Battke from Tübingen University and Cristina Popescu, Faculty of Economics and Social Sciences.
