In recent years, the Macao SAR Government is proactively developing the electronic payment platform. The integrated payment platform "GovPay" has been widely used on campus and as compared with the use of student E-purse service, e-payment methods can provide a more diverse, convenient and secure payment service, which also can support to pay different types of small fees via online payment and payment terminal. In addition, students do not need to proceed the procedure for the termination of E-purse account when leave the University. It can simplify the check-out procedure effectively. In view of this, UM is scheduled to replace the use of student E-purse with e-payment methods, and the student E-purse service will be terminated with effective from academic year 2022/2023.

The arrangements of termination are summarized as follows:

Date	Arrangement
31 March 2022	The E-purse add-value function will be stopped from 31 March 2022.
On or before 4 May 2022	All the active students can use the E-purse balance until the end of the 2nd semester of academic year 2021/2022 (i.e. 4 May 2022).
From 5 May 2022	The remaining E-purse balance will be refunded to students' bank account registered in SI Web by Auto-pay; Please login to SI Web and fill in the bank account information for the refund.*
From academic year 2022/2023	E-payment methods will be replaced the use of student E-purse service.

* Note: If students do not provide the bank account information on or before 31 Dec 2022, the remaining E-purse balance will be considered as voluntary give up and forfeited according to the Rules for the Use of E-purse Service.
