Teaching with Technology Conversation: Active Learning Activities

Peer Assessment with Online Questionnaires by Prof. Emily Wang (ICMS) Online questionnaires can easily be used by students to assess one another and provide feedback on presentations and assignments. Students in a postgraduate course have found peer assessment to be more engaging than pen and paper assessments.

Planning, Editing and Producing Videos for GE Teaching Prof. Garry Wong, Research assistants Yorn Ka Lai Leung and Katrina Xian Jiaqi (FHS) Self-produced videos are increasingly needed to facilitate face-to-face and on-line learning in today’s classroom. Our conversation will provide some examples of our videos produced to support GE teaching using low-tech and higher-tech approaches. Practical details regarding how the videos were edited and produced and lessons learned from our experiences will be shared.
