Most participating units’ electricity cost increased in June of 2018. The top 10 participating units are “Faculty of Health Science” (E12), “Humanities and Social Sciences Building” (E21), “Lui Che Woo College” (W22), “Henry Fok Pearl Jubilee College” (W14), “University Gallery and Wu Yee Sun Library” (E1 & E2), “UM Sports Complex” (N8), “Student Activity Centre, Faculty of Law & Faculty of Education” (E31, E32 & E33), “Cheang Yu Tung College” (W23) and “Moon Chun Memorial College” (W11). Their electricity costs drop by -1.70% to 17.35%.
The Faculty Big Saver in June is “Humanities and Social Sciences Building” (E21). The electricity cost saving is MOP 29,200.
As for the award “Best Implementer of Energy-Saving Measures”, “University Gallery and Wu Yee Sun Library” (E1 & E2), “Faculty of Business Administration” (E22), and “Student Activity Centre, Faculty of Law & Faculty of Education” (E31, E32 & E33) implemented 11, 11 and 10 energy saving measures, respectively, in June. The measures included switching off of unused lightings, computer before getting off work, setting air conditioning temperature to 25 degree, keeping doors and windows closed when air conditioners are running, switching off of unused lamps during recess period or holidays, etc.
The electricity expenses of all residential colleges increased in May. The most energy efficient residential college is “Lui Che Woo College” (W22). The electricity cost saving is 7.23%.

Remark: As W34 is the new operation building in June 2017, average electricity cost in June of 2017 of other residential colleges are used for comparison.
