Dear colleagues and students,

In January 2023, My UMwill be revamped with a stronger focus on feature stories and stories about people to reflect the development of the university and the changing habits of readers. In 'UM Reporter Column', we takes a look at how My UMhas evolved with UM since it was first published in 2011 (Article). Next year, My UMwill place an emphasis on various aspects of UM’s development, including disciplinary development, teaching and research results, industry-academia collaboration, innovation and entrepreneurship, talent development, and alumni achievements. More depth will be given to feature articles and stories about people to showcase the university’s latest progress and members’ achievements.

In this issue, we have interviewed three UM faculty members and students who enjoy cooking on their heartwarming dishes (Article) . In 'People's Stories', Liu Qifang, a doctoral student from the Faculty of Business Administration, shares with us her charity work experience and how the UM’s Doctor of Business Administration programme has helped broaden her horizons (Article).
